Easter Tags

Easter is only a week away, so it is time to share some Easter projects for my next couple of posts.

Today I have a couple of Easter tags, which look quite detailed, but are very simple to make.

I made the Easter egg shape, including the two coloured layers first, then added a sentiment, punched hearts and a fussy cut bunny from the "Made with Love" stamp set. For the boy tag, I left it quite plain, and for the girl tag, I added some rhinestones and thick baker's twine.

Jar of Love Shaker Card

I have been playing around with the "Jar of Love" stamps, as this is still my all time favourite stamp set in the current annual catalogue. The little gold fish is very cute, and brings back some childhood memories of when I had my own fish.....although, I never kept them in a jar!

This stamp set is great to use for shaker cards. You'll only need to use a small teaspoon of clear glass beads to make this fun interactive card.

Flurry of Wishes Christmas Card

I have another simple card to share, which is made using the stamp set "Flurry of Wishes". It is an easy card to put together and adding the bling gives it an elegant feel.

Cookie-Cutter Christmas Card

I am glad the "Cookie-Cutter Christmas" stamp set is still available to purchase. This was one of my favourite sets from last year, and I wanted to share a cute little gingerbread man card with you all. I have done this layout style before, as it is a nice easy layout to replicate.

Santa & Rudolph Fries Boxes

When I purchased the 'Fries Box' die some time ago, I new straight away that I would make some cute little Christmas projects with it. You can also see my Easter Bunny Box I made using the same techniques.

These cute boxes make the perfect little gift for a teacher, a work colleague and kids. Fill them up with some yummy treats and you have a unique one of a kind gift for someone.

Winter Memories Christmas Card

I purchased several of the Stampin Up digital stamp sets before they retired them, and I'm glad I did. This card was made using the 'Winter Memories' digital stamp set.

I enlarged the skates image and printed it on whisper white, smoky slate, chocolate chip and old olive card stock, then did plenty of fussy cutting and layering. I finished the card off with a Christmas sentiment, some snowflakes (not SU) and rhinestones (not SU).

I made this card some time ago, but if I were to do it again, I would use the new 'Stampin Blends' instead of printing on various coloured cardstock and layering it together, which would save a lot more time.

Winter Trees Christmas Cards

Well, it was an extremely busy last couple of months for 2017, and I am way behind on sharing regular posts with you all.....my apologies!

For my next few posts, I will be playing a bit of 'catch up', and will be sharing many Christmas cards and some unique gift boxes.

Below are couple of cards I made using the Hero Arts 'Winter Trees' stamp. Normally I would stick to using Stampin Up products, but I wanted to use some Kaleidacolor inks that I had purchased from a craft show that I recently attended. The 'Winter Trees' stamp was a perfect match for using the new inks.

There will be over 100 stalls/workshops, live music, face painting, food and drink vendors and a ATM on site. Entry is by a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the Whisker Woods Sanctuary.

So lock in the date and come and check out all the wonderful stalls at Etsy Made Local Canberra.

Pretty Pines Christmas Cards

I love the simplicity of these cards and the earthy tones that were used. These cards are very easy to make and you can change the look just by varying the type of bow used.

Santa's Sleigh Christmas Z-fold Card

So Christmas is a little over ten weeks away, so it is definitely time for me to start sharing some Christmas cards, like the amazing one below.

I got my inspiration from Chloe Evans' card that she made a little while back, which is absolutely stunning, so I knew I had to case it. I did make a few subtle changes to the sled and presents and I also added a sentiment to finish the card off.

I had a lot of fun making this card, but it did take quite some time to complete.

Fox Builder Baby Card

I have another card that showcases the versatility of the "Fox Builder Punch" that I wanted to share. I cased the card from Valerie Moody who cased the bear from Nicole Kunzig.

As soon as I saw the cute little bear, I knew I had to make some cute baby cards with it. I did alter my bear by giving him 2 paws/arms, as I felt this was missing and made the bear complete.

A Nice Cuppa Card

Is there someone in your life who loves a cuppa, then this is the perfect card for them. You can change the sentiment to suit a tea or a coffee drinker.

I love how simple and clean this card looks and it's super quick and easy to make.

Masculine Fishing Card

Father's day is just around the corner, so I wanted to share a cascade card that I made a couple of years ago, using the "By the Tide" stamp set which is now retired. You can find my cascade card instructions here, please ensure you scroll down to the bottom of the page.

I made the fishing rods by hand, using a long strip of card stock and several circle punches which I used for the reel and to thread the bakers twine through so that it would resemble fishing line.

I did plenty of fussing cutting for the fish and sea horses, which took a bit of time, but made the end result well worth it.

Detailed Floral Thinlits Card

The Stampin Up detailed floral thinlits makes a perfect wedding or engagement card. Bellow are a couple of versions on how to use the dies differently. I prefer to use rich colours, like night of navy or fresh fig against white, as it really make the detail in the flowers stand out.
