Kindest Gnomes Tiered Pop Up Card

This is the card I will be teaching at my next club night. All my ladies wanted me to use the 'Kindest Gnome Bundle', so they will be learning how to make a tiered pop up card. There will be lots of fussy cutting and playing around with the cute gnomes and animals from the 'Story Book Gnomes' DSP.

Kindest Gnome Christmas Card

Oh my goodness, it has been over six months since I last put up a post. Apologies for not posting sooner, but to be honest life has just got in the way! Better late than never I guess.

I simply adore the new gnome bundle in the latest mini catalogue, it's called 'Kindest Gnomes' and I love how the dies also cut out the coordinating DSP as well the stamped images.

I wanted to show how you can easily make some little hands/arms for the stand-alone gnome, as the dies set does not come with these. I much prefer a gnome with arms and hands than without, so I spent a little time trying to find the best option that looked realistic. I used the smallest heart from the 'Heart to Heart' punch (retired) for the hands, and the mushroom stems from the new 'Tree Rings' die set for the arms, as they were the perfect size for this.

You can see below how to cut a small section away from the heart shape, then you simply stick the stems (or in my case 'arms') on top of the hands, and 'voila' you have two realistic looking arms with hands to use for the gnome.

The sentiment is from the 'Vintage Christmas' stamp set.

I promise I will be sharing some more cards using this bundle over the coming weeks.
