Owl Builder Christmas Card

I have always wanted to make a cute little card with Christmas owls sitting on a branch.

The branch and holly leaves were made using some dies from memory box, and the rest of the card was made using Stampin Up products as shown in the below supply list.

You will notice that I used many different SU punches to make up the owls instead of just using the original owl builder punch. The reason for this, is I just wanted my owls to look a little different from the original owl.

I used the owl builder punch for the owl background shape, the heart punch for the eye background, the 3/4" circle punch for the belly, the raindrop from the tree builder punch for the beak, and the smallest shape from the blossom petals builder punch to make the owl wings.

Foxy Friends Christmas Card

Today I am sharing a Christmas card which uses the "Foxy Friends" stamp set and the coordinating "Foxy Builder" punch to make Rudolf the red nosed reindeer. My sentiment is from the "Good Greetings" stamp set.

Botanical Blooms Card

There are many flower stamps sets to choose from in the annual catalogue, and the "Botanical Blooms" stamp set is by far my favourite. I will be sharing a few different cards that I have made using this stamp set over the coming months, which range from a simple card through to cards that are a little more difficult to make.

I wanted to give the card a slight grungy look, so I used the "French Foliage" stamp set to achieve the result I was after. I think both these stamps sets work really well together and I love the colour combination I used.

Detailed Floral Thinlits Engagement Card

I have made a few cards using the "detailed floral thinlits dies", which I will share over the coming months. I think these dies are perfect for making engagement and wedding cards as the finish is elegant.

In my supply list, I tried to include both the stamp sets that I used, but they were not available for me to select, so I have listed the digital version of the stamp sets instead, just to show which stamps were used.

Christmas Pines Card

I'm in love with the "Christmas Pines" stamp set and the coordinating thinlits dies. I love how natural this set is, and it really represents an Aussie Christmas. The sentiment I chose is from an old stamp set called "Christmas Punch" which retired quite a few years ago.

Christmas Jar of Love Card

The "Jar of Love" stamp set and coordinating thinlit dies are by far my favourite bundle in the annual catalogue. These jars are so versatile and they really do make the perfect shaker card. I have made many jar cards, and will share them over the coming weeks.

Today's card is a simple snowflake shaker card which is filled with 5 small snowflakes with rhinestones in the center and some "Diamond Dust" by Floracraft.

Botanical Builder Birthday Card

The "Botanical Blooms" stamp set along with the coordinating "Botanical Builder" framelits are definitely my favourite flower set in the current catalogue. I have made many cards using this set and will share them with you over the coming months, the one below was the easiest and quickest one to do.

Weather Together Compassionate Card

The below card was made for one of my club nights. I had a request to make a card using both the "Weather Together" and "Love You Lots" stamp sets. After a little bit of thought, I decided to make a shaker card with the two stamp sets.....after all, who doesn't love an interactive card!

Painter's Palette Christmas Card

When I first laid my eyes on the "Painter's Palette" stamp set, I knew it was one I had to buy. To be honest, I really only like the easel out of the whole stamp set, I am not that fussed on the rest of the stamps. I knew I could create some nice cards with the easel and the below card is my first one.

I wanted to create an artist theme for my card, so I needed to come up with an artist's palette and paintbrush to really set my scene. I punched small circles in a range of colours (the same colours as in the picture) and added a white perfect accent (without the white backing) to each colour, which made my colours look wet and glossy.....just like paint.

I am really happy with the end result and can't wait to make a few more cards using the easel.

Joy to the World Christmas Card

Over the coming weeks I will be sharing many Christmas cards with you.

I wanted to come up with a design using the large letter framelits as I haven't used these dies as yet. I decided to make a Christmas flower using the "Reason for the Season" stamp set and coordinating punch to use as the letter "O". Now there are not many 3 or 4 letter Christmas words to choose from that have the letter "O" in them. The two that came to my mind were "joy" or "noel" and as you can see, I decided to use the word "joy".

Lucky for me I purchased the "Jolly Christmas" stamp set last year, so I was able to use the "to the world" stamp which was the perfect sentiment for my card. Lastly, I added some rhinestones in various sizes to finish off the card.

Candy Cane Lane Christmas Birdhouse Card

I am sharing a card that I made using the "Candy Cane Lane" DSP. This is my favourite Christmas paper in the holiday catalogue. I fussy cut around one of the houses from the paper, which took a little time and was quite fiddly to do.

The card was based on a previous birdhouse card I made some time ago which you can view here. I enjoyed putting this card together and am very happy with the end result.

Spinner Shaker Card Tutorial

Christmas is just around the corner..... and I have finally finished my new "Spinner Shaker Card" tutorial for the occasion, please visit my Etsy Shop for more details.

I have spent countless hours over the last couple of weeks testing and perfecting my design and am thrilled with the end result.

The card can be made to suit many different occasions, such as a birthday, halloween and even engagements and weddings. I hope to make a birthday and wedding card with this tutorial soon, so please check back later to see my creations.

Cascade Cards

I think this style of card suits those special occasions, such as weddings, engagements, anniversaries and important birthdays, like a 18th, 21st, or 40th etc.

You can find my instructions on how to make these cascade cards under "My Tutorials" at the bottom of the page. Please note the measurements are for Australian paper sizes only (not American).

I made this Christmas cascade card in one of my upline classes.

Here are two more examples for 40th Birthdays!

Beautiful Bright Handmade Gerbera Flowers

I am sharing some bright coloured handmade gerbera flowers in a black vase that I made some time ago using Shelley Bohan's tutorial. Unfortunately Shelley's blog no longer exists, so no one will be able to view her tutorial anymore.

The guess the best thing about handmade flowers, is they will never die and you can choose a colour that suits your decor.

A Starry Christmas

Today's theme is stars, stars and more stars.....

I wanted to share 3 Christmas cards all made using different star stamps or dies. The below card was cased from Jenni Pauli. I kept the style very similar, however my card is a different size and I used a different sentiment and star stamps.

I cased this card from Chris Slogar. I used the same colours, but changed the stamps, sentiment, doily, embellished trim and the way it was arranged.

I was inspired by Lisa Johnson's card for this one. Lisa is not a SU demonstrator, so no Stampin Up products were used to make her card. My challenge was to achieve a similar result, but using Stampin Up products instead.

Christmas Fancy Favour Box

I have many of the retired Stampin Up dies and wanted to show a nice Christmas Box made using the "Fancy Favour" XL bigz die. This box is a really good size to fill up with some yummy Christmas treats and give to someone special.

White Christmas Cards

The card below was cased from Valarie Moody. I really like the style and colours so much, that I decided to keep mine very similar. I did use a different sentiment and snowflake stamps, and also added a wood snowflake embellishment to jazz it up a little more.

I got the idea for this card from Tara Bazata, she no longer does stampin up, so I cannot supply a link for you to view her work. I did change some of the colours and the embellishments that were used.

Father's Day BBQ Gift Set

I am sharing a Father's Day BBQ gift set that I hope to turn into a tutorial when I get some extra time.

I have seen a few apron cards on the web and thought I would try my own version. The card has a nice big pocket at the front which you can use to put a gift voucher or money in. I designed the BBQ box myself and the lid opens up to allow the box to be filled some tasty treats or other goodies.

Holly Jolly Christmas Cards

I have 3 quick and easy Christmas cards to share. The one below was made using the Stampin Up "Jolly Christmas" stamp set in various colours. I added some rhinestones around the deer to bling up the card.

This card was cased from Natasha Zandbergen. I love the different greens used with the early espresso and vanilla colours. I added a couple more trees and made a few subtle changes, but overall the design remained the same.

I cased the below card from a similar one that I found on the web, but unfortunately do not know who designed it, so therefore I cannot give them credit.

Simple & Pretty Butterfly Card

This is one of the quickest cards I have ever made, it was cased from Mary Fish and she shares a quick video on how to make the card. The card only took me about 5 minutes to make.....I think the longest part was deciding what colours and sentiment to use.

No Adhesive Box

Today, I thought I would show another version of my "no adhesive box" a tutorial that I have for sale in my Etsy Shop. As stated in the heading, this box uses no adhesive for the base and the lid, however a couple of glue dots are used to hold the ribbon in place and to stick the flower down.

The box and lid is identical to the original tutorial I made, but I wanted to use a different flower and ribbon for the lid, which gave this cute little box a whole new look.

Casing Christmas Cards

I am sharing several Christmas cards that I made last year. Two of the cards were cased from two very talented Artisan designers for Stampin Up. Both ladies make such beautiful inspiring cards and I enjoy visiting both their blogs on a regular basis.

The one below was cased from Connie Collins. I made some slight changes to the colours, pattern paper, sentiment and the centre of the flower, but the overall design is the same.

This card was cased from Steffi Helmschrott. It is a very simple card and I kept all the elements the same. There is no translation button on Steffi's blog, so sometimes it is a little hard to work out what she has done for her complicated cards.

The next three cards were all cased from Mary Fish. She is known in the Stampin Up world for creating lovely simple designs.

Frosted Scattered Embossing Technique

I am sharing a card that I made using the "frosted scattered embossing technique" which I cased from Amanda Burditt, the link shares a video on how to do the technique.

Masculine Toolbox Birthday Card

I have seen so many different versions of masculine toolbox cards, and decided that I should have a go at making one myself.

I decided to do a classic red toolbox using the step card technique. The timber planks are made using the Stampin Up hardwood background stamp and then cut to size. Unfortunately Stampin Up has never had any tool dies, so I have used the dies from "MFT Die-namic", to create the tools, which where perfect in size for this card. I used the Stampin Up "Hello You Thinlits" and the "Little Letters Thinlits" to create my words, which could be easily changed to suit any special occasion.

World's Greatest Dad

Well, it's certainly been a few months since I last posted anything.....I don't know where the time has gone!

Today I am sharing a card I made some time ago, but still love it just as much as the day I made it. I cased this from a similar card, but unfortunately do not know who the original idea belongs to, so cannot give them credit.

Father's day is just around the corner, so why not get in early and give this one a go.
