Berry Basket
The new berry basket is a great die and the perfect size to fill with chocolates, please see the stampin up video tutorial on how easy it is to put together. I used double sided tape instead of staples to add the scalloped edge to my basket.
Celebrate Today Cards
Last night I held my first club night for the year. I wanted to use the new "Celebrate Today" stamp and die set and the hot air balloon card was one of the projects we made.
I used the cloud shape die from the word bubble framelits to create the blue cloud and the outline cloud. The cupcake punch was used to make the small clouds on dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.
I made the sentiment on the computer and used the wavy bitty banner framelit to cut them out, added some hearts and black cotton for the banner string. The balloon was made with 4 balloon die cuts, the balloon knots cut off and each balloon piece was gently scored in the middle and folded in half. I carefully glued each half together to give the balloon a 3D effect.

Masculine Fishing Card
My brother just had his 40th Birthday and one of his passions is fishing, so I decided a fishing jacket was the perfect card for him.
I have seen so many different types of these cards and thought I would give it a go. The little pockets are also great to put some cash in them which is what I did for my brother. I used some real fishing line and trimmed an earring hook down to make the small fishing hook. I made the fishing floats by using the modern label and small oval punches.

Valentines Day Shaker Card
Well, I have seen many shaker cards recently and wanted to try and make one myself. It took me a little while to work out how best to do it and I am very happy with the end result.
Sheltering Tree Cards
I love the new "Sheltering Tree" stamp set, these are some cards I made and the cherry blossom one is my favourite. The little bird house was made using the retired jewellery tag punch.

From the Herd Cards
Today I wanted to share with you a couple of cards made using the
"From the Herd" stamp set. This set is definitely my favourite in the
new catalogue.
I stamped the image on various colours of cardstock and fussy cut around each character. I used my markers to add the darker colour to the noses and hooves etc. I also stamped the image on my card base, then layered each animal one at a time working from the back to the front, the chook was the last character added. I used the SU white gel pen for the eyes. For the Christmas version I added some holly leaves and berries (not SU) and used the santa hat from the "Get your Santa on" stamp set for the pig.
These cards were a lot of fun to make and by fussy cutting the characters, it really makes the cards stand out.
I also found this image on the web, I wonder if who ever designed this stamp set was inspired by this photo.....or is it just a coincidence?

Snowy Christmas Cards
A nice couple of snowy Christmas cards using the "White Christmas" and "Sheltering Tree" stamps sets. I was disappointed when they didn't carry over the "White Christmas" stamp set as you can do so many things with this stamp set.
Christmas Bauble Ornaments
I have seen many versions of handmade Christmas ornaments and love the ones where you make your picture then add half a plastic Christmas bauble on top. These are my versions and I added small white pom poms to represent snowballs. I would like to give credit to the person who originally came up with this idea, but unfortunately don't know who that person is, so if it was your idea, thank you for the inspiration.
Get your Santa on Cards
Here are a couple of Christmas cards made using the "Get your Santa on" stamp set, this really is a fun stamp set and the kids just love it. In both cards I fussy cut around the santa and his clothes and popped them up with some dimensionals.

Vintage Flower Box
This is one of my favourite boxes I have made, it has a nice vintage feel to it. I made the flowers by using Joanne Leddy's tutorial, which gives clear step by step instructions on how to create these beautiful flowers. Unfortunately all the stampin up punches Joanne uses are now retired. I also did not have the punch which makes the smallest flower, so I improvised and used the middle sized flower on the boho blossom punch instead.
Aviary Birthday Card
This is another card cased from one of my favourite designers Steffi Helmschrott.
This card uses two Stampin Up stamps sets: Aviary (retired) and Thoughts and Prayers (retired). There is still a digital set of aviary stamp set available and it has four different bird cages and birds you can use which allows you to make many different versions of this card. There are also many different tree/branch or plant stamps available, so you could easily substitute the branch I used for something else.
