Jolly Friends Christmas Cards

How adorable is the Jolly Friends stamp set. The moose is so cute and looks great on these Christmas cards. Even though this stamp set is retired, I plan on making a few more fun cards with this set.

Dragonfly Dreams Card

Today I am sharing a card that I cased from Chantal de Kaste which uses the 'Dragonfly Dreams' stamp set. I really like the simplicity of this card and like how the colour pops against the white.

Cool Treats Birthday Card

I'm so sad that the 'Cool Treats' stamp set has now retired, as it was one of my all time favourite stamp sets.

I still have many cards that I would like to share using this stamp set, and today is one that I cased from Raquelle Clifton-Batth. I kept the style the same, but used different DSP, colours, ribbon and ice cream.

Little Numbers Birthday Card

This card has certainly done the rounds on the web, and I have seen many different versions. I cased my cards from Pamela Ho, as I liked the bling and the pop of colour against the black and white.

Thoughtful Branches Card

Given that there are so many tree/nature stamps sets at the moment, I thought it would be the perfect time to share the below card that I cased from Kimberly VanDiepen some time ago. I made a few subtle changes, but kept the same style and colours.

Interactive Pinwheel Birthday Card

Do you ever struggle to make the perfect birthday card for a child? Well if you do, then I have a great little interactive card that might just be suitable.

Jar of Love Shaker Card

I'm so glad Stampin Up decided to keep the 'Jar of Love' stamp set and matching framelits in the new catalogue.

I liked a card that Anke Heim made some time ago, so I based my design around her card, but made some changes to make it my own.

2018 Stampin Up Colour Revamp!

The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of colour. Stampin Up makes a point to keep an eye on colour trends across different markets and industries. When they see changes happening, they review the colour spectrum to ensure that they remain consistently on top of the trends.

In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colours, Stampin Up decided it was time to give the colour collections a makeover.

Which brings us to the 2018 Colour Revamp!

There are 18 retiring colours, 6 returning colours and 15 brand new colours to look forward to when the new annual catalogue goes live on 1 June 2018.

There will be guaranteed stock made available for both the retiring classic stampin ink pads and classic stampin ink refills until 7 May 2018, then, available while supplies last 7–31 May 2018. So be sure to get in early if you want to purchase any retiring ink pads or ink refills to avoid disappointment of missing out.

A full list of the retiring products for 2018 can be found at my shop.

Easter Bunny Card

This is my last Easter project for this year. I have based this card on the Easter Bunny Box I made last year.

I love making cute little characters using the "Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies". You'll see below, that I have used the large wreath die for both the head and body of the bunny, as this die represents animal fur, which is exactly what I was after.

Easter Duck Fries Box

I have made several cute little character treat boxes, using the "Fry Box Die", over the past year.

Today, I wanted to share the little duck box that I cased from Cathy Stevenson that was showcased on Becky Roberts Blog. Cathy makes some beautiful punch art projects, and I thought this one was perfect for Easter, since I made the Easter Bunny Box last year.

Easter Tags

Easter is only a week away, so it is time to share some Easter projects for my next couple of posts.

Today I have a couple of Easter tags, which look quite detailed, but are very simple to make.

I made the Easter egg shape, including the two coloured layers first, then added a sentiment, punched hearts and a fussy cut bunny from the "Made with Love" stamp set. For the boy tag, I left it quite plain, and for the girl tag, I added some rhinestones and thick baker's twine.

Jar of Love Shaker Card

I have been playing around with the "Jar of Love" stamps, as this is still my all time favourite stamp set in the current annual catalogue. The little gold fish is very cute, and brings back some childhood memories of when I had my own fish.....although, I never kept them in a jar!

This stamp set is great to use for shaker cards. You'll only need to use a small teaspoon of clear glass beads to make this fun interactive card.

Flurry of Wishes Christmas Card

I have another simple card to share, which is made using the stamp set "Flurry of Wishes". It is an easy card to put together and adding the bling gives it an elegant feel.

Cookie-Cutter Christmas Card

I am glad the "Cookie-Cutter Christmas" stamp set is still available to purchase. This was one of my favourite sets from last year, and I wanted to share a cute little gingerbread man card with you all. I have done this layout style before, as it is a nice easy layout to replicate.

Santa & Rudolph Fries Boxes

When I purchased the 'Fries Box' die some time ago, I new straight away that I would make some cute little Christmas projects with it. You can also see my Easter Bunny Box I made using the same techniques.

These cute boxes make the perfect little gift for a teacher, a work colleague and kids. Fill them up with some yummy treats and you have a unique one of a kind gift for someone.

Winter Memories Christmas Card

I purchased several of the Stampin Up digital stamp sets before they retired them, and I'm glad I did. This card was made using the 'Winter Memories' digital stamp set.

I enlarged the skates image and printed it on whisper white, smoky slate, chocolate chip and old olive card stock, then did plenty of fussy cutting and layering. I finished the card off with a Christmas sentiment, some snowflakes (not SU) and rhinestones (not SU).

I made this card some time ago, but if I were to do it again, I would use the new 'Stampin Blends' instead of printing on various coloured cardstock and layering it together, which would save a lot more time.

Winter Trees Christmas Cards

Well, it was an extremely busy last couple of months for 2017, and I am way behind on sharing regular posts with you all.....my apologies!

For my next few posts, I will be playing a bit of 'catch up', and will be sharing many Christmas cards and some unique gift boxes.

Below are couple of cards I made using the Hero Arts 'Winter Trees' stamp. Normally I would stick to using Stampin Up products, but I wanted to use some Kaleidacolor inks that I had purchased from a craft show that I recently attended. The 'Winter Trees' stamp was a perfect match for using the new inks.
