Owl Cards

One of my favourite punches is the Stampin Up build an owl punch.....it never gets old and like I've mentioned in earlier posts it seems to be the most versatile punch available.

Below is a card I cased from Diane Barnes, I used different colours and didn't want it to be too fussy, which is why it makes a great masculine card.

Below is a card that was cased from Kirsty Brown, I didn't have the same paper and ribbon that Kirsty used, but the general layout is the same.

Wedding Card

Today I wanted to share a wedding card that I cased from the wonderful designer Mary Fish. She is well known for her clean simple, yet beautiful designs. I have cased a few cards from Mary and will share them with you in the coming weeks.

Casing Quick & Easy Cards

Sometimes we need a card quickly, but don't have a lot of time to spend making it, so I have cased a few cards from other designers that only take between half an hour to an hour to complete from start to finish.

Steffi Helmschrott's card inspired me to make the card below. It uses the "Elementary Elegance" Stampin Up stamp set. I changed the colours and stamped a few more butterflies and birds on my card.

My second card was cased from Rita Wright, the layout and colours are the same, but I changed the embossing folder, ribbon, sentiment and the flower.

This card was cased from Tanya Kolar and was very quick to make. I did add several itty bitty flower punches just to bling it up a little more.

Punch Art Projects

I love making punch art projects and will endeavor to make many punch art tutorials down the track when time permits.

This card was cased from Christena Bagne, I made a couple of slight changes, but overall it is almost identical to Christena's card.

I have seen many of these cards around and have no idea who made the first one so am unable to give credit to that person. Below is my version.....a perfect card for that mother to be!

Gorgeous Grunge Flower Cards

I have seen many grunge flower cards recently that I absolutely love and Stampin Up has some great grunge stamp sets to be able to achieve the cards below.

Sweet Little Owls

Two sweet little owls made from various Stampin Up punches and the new fries box die. I would like to say thank you to Laura Mellinger for the original idea, they are so adorable and I couldn't resist making these little cuties.

Fathers Day Cards

Here are some more fathers day cards ideas using some of the new products available in the 2014/2015 Stampin Up catalogue.

Mixed Bunch Birthday Card

I love how simple and effective this card is. I have made these flowers before and thought I would go for a different look this time, something with a bit of "wow factor".

Flower Birthday Card

Another beautiful flower card for the ladies.

The flower is made from the packing paper Stampin Up uses to fill our boxes for deliveries. To make the flower I used the blossom party die and cut five layers of 2 of the flowers. I scrunched each layer to give it a distressed look, then stuck them together with a nice brad.

Milk Carton Bird House

I have seen many cute little bird houses out there and thought it would be nice for my club members to make one. I designed this one so you can still open the spout like a normal milk carton and you use the mini peg to keep it closed.

Hamburger Box

I have seen a couple of larger hamburger boxes and thought I would give it a go myself. There may be an easier way to do this, but I cut two of the die cuts out, trimmed about 2 cm off one edge on one die cut and then 2 cm off the opposite edge on the other die cut, joined them in the middle with double sided tape and cover the join mark with ribbon and then put the box together as normal.

Fathers Day Set

I set a fathers day theme for my club this month. We quite often do girly projects and cards, so this time I thought we would make it all about the men, especially since fathers day is so close.

Below is the set I got my club members to make, they made the card and fries box.

Toolbox and Card Tutorial

Fathers day is just around the corner..... and I have finally finished my next tutorial to use for the occasion, please visit my Etsy Shop for more details. The toolbox is 5" wide, 2" deep and 3 1/2" tall, it is a great size to put lots of sweet treats and a gift card inside it for that special man in your life. This set can also be used for birthdays too.

Ribbon Owl Card

I don't know about you, but I always have lots of small left over pieces of ribbon from my projects.
So I went on the hunt to find some cards that use scrap pieces or ribbon, although I didn't find many, I did find this beauty. I cased the card from Kirsten Davies and think it's the perfect card for using up those scrap bits of ribbon that you normally throw out.
