Festive Flurry Circle Flip Card

Today I am sharing a card that was made in one of my club nights last year using the "circle card thinlits" and the retired stamp set "festive flurry". I used the video tutorial by Mary Fish to extend my card with a pocket at the back for a gift card.

Boys Birthday Card

This was the card I made for my nephew's 3rd Birthday. The die set to make the truck is not SU, however the rest of the products used were. I love how clean and simple the card turned out.

Wine & Champagne Christmas Tags

If you love giving wine or champagne to others for Christmas gifts, try adding a trendy tag to brighten the gift up.

Sprinkles of Life Card

In my first Sprinkles of Life post I showcased 4 different styled cards, a cup cake card, an stacked ice cream card, a tree branch with a bird card and a basket of flowers card. This post I am showcasing what you can do with the clouds and hopefully this card will brighten up anyone's day.

Happy Birthday with a Cherry on Top

This card was made using a retired hostess stamp set called "A Cherry on Top" from a couple of years ago. I liked the idea of Penny Smiley's card and decided to do something similar.

Sprinkles of Life Cards

The new "sprinkles of life" stamp set and the coordinating punch is so versatile and I love that the options are endless when creating your masterpieces with this set. Best of all Stampin Up will donate $3.00 from every stamp set sold to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.....what could possibly be better than that!

I will be showing off plenty more cards made from this set soon.....so please keep checking back.

Heart to Heart Card

I love the colours in this card, they really jump out on the crumb cake background. I case the card from one of my favourite designers Steffi Helmschrott. The border was drawn freehand, the coloured shapes were made using the "heart to heart" punch and folded in half. Lastly a sentiment, flower and rhinestones were added to finish the card.

Blossom Petal Builder Card

This card is based on a similar blossom petal builder card I did some time ago. The layout is identical, but the colours are different.

Great Birthday Cards for Boys

I am sharing some card ideas to use for Boys cards. Sometimes it can be a struggle to come up with something suitable for a young lad as so many products on the market are aimed at females instead of males.

Firstly, I am sharing a card that I cased from Heather Klump, this card is suitable for boys of all ages, just by changing the number.

Secondly, another card that is suitable for boys of all ages.

Below is a pocket card is the perfect card to use if you are wanting to give a gift voucher for the gift. You could also fold some money in half and stick that in the pocket instead of a gift voucher. I have made many of these cards over the years and they are very suitable for teenagers, and you can change the colours to suit a female or even make a Christmas version.

Lastly, a very easy grunge looking birthday card perfect for a young teenage boy. The stamp sets used were: simply stars, gorgeous grunge and sassy salutations for the sentiment.

Congratulations Card

Below is a nice simple congratulations card using Stampin Up's "Baby We've Grown" stamp set & "Pretty Print" embossing folder. I used "White Baker's Twine" for the stitching and the "Signo White Pen" for the owl's eyes.....to make them stand out!

This card is pretty much the same only different colours and a birthday sentiment were used instead.

"Suit Up" Masculine Card

This was the card I made for my son's birthday. He loves "How I Met Your Mother", so I thought this type of card would be perfect. The sentiment was done on the computer.....a popular saying from Barney Stinson.

Casing the Catalogue

I liked the little mini treat bag on page 92 of the Stampin Up annual catalogue so much, that I had to case it. I used the same colours and stamps, but decided to turn it into a card instead, just to make it a little different.

Masculine Cards - Young to Old

Last night I had my 4th club night. I wanted to concentrate on masculine cards as this is always hard to come up with great ideas for the boys/men in our lives.

The below card was cased from Annett Goebel and I added a party hat to make it a little more fun.

For the next card, I was inspired by Lisa Addesa's card, I love how the colours look against the black, but wanted to add a little more detail and make it my own.

Perfect Wedding Card

The "Artisan Embellishment Kit" and the stamp set "Your Perfect Day" makes for a perfect wedding card. I love how the red hearts in the sentiment just gives the card that little pop of colour.

Masculine Cup Cake Birthday Cards

This was the card I made for my Husbands Birthday. The stamp used is from Tim Holtz Birthday Blueprints, and was coloured in using "Prismacolor Pencils", which blend really well and gives a great vibrant look. The rest of the products used were Stampin Up.

The card below uses the new "sprinkles of life" stamp set and the coordinating punch. I have picked colours that are suitable for any bloke.

Perfect Christening Card

A perfect little Christening card for that special occasion. I love how the white ribbon looks on the white card with a subtle hint of colour.

Sunflower Birthday Card

A nice little card that I cased from Linda Aarhus. I used the woodgrain embossing folder on early espresso coredination card stock for the background and the designer frames embossing folder on naturals white card stock for the sentiment. Lastly I added the flower, leaves and some brads for the finishing touches.

Simple Fathers Day Cards

Today, I have a couple more easy fathers day cards to show you.

The card below uses mostly retired Stampin Up products and a couple of other products as well. The base is crumb cake, and the ruler paper is from the "fan fair" designer series set. I used midnight muse card stock for the word "dad" and the torn corrugated look under the ruler paper which was made using my crimper tool. The tools were made using "My Favourite Things - Tool Charms Die Set" (not SU) on early espresso and brushed silver card stock. Lastly a couple of screw brads (not SU) were added to finish the card off.

This card I cased from Amy Kolling, and the only real difference to Amy's card is that I used a different sentiment, buttons and my woodgrain embossing folder is slightly different.

Big Day Birthday Card

My favourite stamp set from "Sale-a-bration" would have to be the "Big Day" set and it's perfect to use on the chalkboard paper (now retired) for that real chalky look.

Party Time Event Project

Below is my project I made for the Stampin Up Party Time Event held in Canberra back in February. We could make any project we wanted as long as it was made using current stock.

I used the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set for the grungy background, the medium butterfly from the "Butterflies Thinlits" die set and the "Banner Banter" stamp set for the sentiment. I added ten long banners in different colours to my card base, then added the crumb cake layer with the butterfly cut out on top. I also added a white butterfly to the cut out section and fanned the wings upwards to give a 3D effect. Lastly I added the finishing touches of flowers and pearls.

Balloon Birthday Card

This card was based on my hot air balloon card and makes a perfect birthday card for anyone.

I used the cloud shape die from the word bubble framelits to create the blue cloud and the outline cloud. The cupcake punch was used to make the small clouds on dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.
The sentiment was stamped from the "Hello Life" stamp set. The balloon was made with 4 balloon die cuts from the "Balloon Framelits" die set, each balloon piece was gently scored in the middle and folded in half and carefully glued together to give the balloon a 3D effect.

Banner Birthday Card

This card is perfect to give to both genders and would certainly brighten up someones day. The card uses the "Amazing Birthday" stamp set from Stampin Up. I cased the design from Erica Cerwin, but decided to flip mine 180 degrees and use a different background stamp.

Flower Shop Grunge Cards

A couple of cards made using the "gorgeous grunge", "flower shop" and the "mixed bunch" stamp sets. The original design came from Valerie Moody.

Simple Flower Cards

So I wanted to show a couple of easy flower cards made with the same flower, but a different background. I used the "Beautiful Bunch" stamp set with the coordinating punch to make the flowers and added some pearls to the center. The leaves are made using different stampin up dies.

The layout of the card below was cased from Debra Currier. I have used different colours, flower and leaves and sentiment for my card.

For this card I just wanted to use a simple embossed background and added plenty of pearls to bling it up.

Artisan Embellishment Card

Another simple card made using the "Artisan Embellishment Kit" and a antique brad to finish it off nicely.

Masculine Cards

Lately I have been working on some masculine cards as I know a lot of my customers struggle to come up with card ideas for the special men/boys in their lives.

The card below was a birthday card I made for my husband.....and in case you couldn't tell by the card, he loves football! The hardest part of this card was getting the football cut in the right shape.....this was done by hand.

I have seen many of these shirt and tie cards on the internet, and thought I would give it a go to make one. The tie can be a little hard in getting the proportions right, but when you do, I suggest making a template of it to use for future cards.

You Brighten My Day Stamp Set

I love the little house in the stamp set "You Brighten My Day". Below are 3 different cards that I cased from 3 different designers using the cute little house.

The first card was cased from Chat Wszelaki and is my favourite. I did make a few subtle changes and I think the cloud from the "Hello You" stamp set is perfect for this card.

Part of the card below was cased from Heather Klump. I liked the simplicity of Heather's card, but wanted to add a little more to the top of the card.....clouds and a sun seemed to be the perfect choice. I decided to use the clouds that I made for my hot air balloon card and then add a cute little sun, just to make it a little different.

The last card was cased from Julie Kettlewell, again I made some subtle changes just to make it a little different.

Embellished Events Step Card

A couple of weeks ago I had my 3rd stamp club night this year. I wanted to do something a little different, rather than a normal A5 card, so decided it was time to teach how to make a step card. Once I worked out my measurements of the cut and score marks, it was then time to decorate.

Stampin Up Party Time Event

Back in February, I went along to the Stampin Up Party Time Event held in Canberra.

It was a great day and I got to see many fantastic projects using current stampin up products. We made 3 "make and take" projects during the day and 2 of mine are shown below.....the third one I accidentally ruined, so it never made it to my portable light box for a photo.
